A man who uses a wheelchair has been stabbed in a Perth home invasion in what police believe is a Facebook Marketplace deal gone wrong.

Police were called to a home on Bremer Place in Thornlie about 10.55am after a violent home invasion left two people in hospital, including a paraplegic.

"A woman had attended the residence, and after a short conversation at the front door she forced her way inside the residence armed with a bladed weapon," Western Australia Police said in a statement.

"The male occupant received a stab wound injury to his neck and during the struggle with the woman he became separated from his wheelchair."

His partner, a woman in her 50s, was also bashed and suffered a broken arm.

Police said a second intruder broke in armed with a pick axe and a third intruder was also present.

Officers believe it was a Facebook Marketplace deal that went wrong as the trio of attackers stole a box containing a drone.

A search is now underway for the offenders.

"The female offender is described as being olive-skinned, about 20 years old, of medium height and build, with shoulder-length black hair.

"At the time of the incident, she was wearing blue jeans, a brown and white striped long-sleeved shirt and a black cap with a motif or writing on the front.

"The woman was in company with two men, who are both described as being olive-skinned and of medium build and height."
