Nollywood actress, Yvonne Jegede has opened up on the reason she walked out of her marriage.
According to the thespian, she left her union because she contributed more to her home than her ex-husband.
Naija News recalls that in 2019, Jegede confirmed the crash of her marriage to actor Olakunle ‘Abounce’ Fawole, barely a year after they tied the knot.
Speaking in the teaser of the upcoming episode of ‘The Honest Bunch’ podcast, the thespian said she regretted choosing love instead of money.
She explained that the main reason she left was because she was the one bringing more money to the union.
According to her, “He [my ex-husband] is eight years older than me. But the moment we got married, if I tell am say, ‘You dey crease, ‘ he would say I’m disrespecting him. I would if it was the same person I got married to.
“But that wasn’t the main reason I left the marriage. Let me just say the fact, I was bringing more of the money. I’m taking care of my son like nobody exist around me. It’s not easy. I would have gone for money instead of love.”

A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Abayomi Nurain Mumuni has urged traders not to make life difficult for the citizenry.

He appealed with the traders not to complicate the current economic situation in the country.

Mumuni made the appeal via a statement on Monday signed by his media aide, Rasheed Abubakar.

He noted that traders who comply with his directive would make life comfortable for Muslims who are fasting during this period of Ramadan.

The APC chieftain tasked well-to-do members of the society to assist the needy and less privileged people in their respective locations.

He used the medium to congratulate Nigerian Muslims as they join their brothers across the world to welcome the month of Ramadan.

Mumuni said, “Interestingly, the Ramadan fast of the Muslims is coming at a time the Christian faithful are also observing Lent, which has started since February. These are two special events for the religious community in Nigeria.

"I therefore urge both Muslims and Christians to make good use of this period to uplift their spirituality and especially pray for our country. We need economic recovery, increased security, prosperity and wisdom for the leaders.

“We shouldn’t lose hope in our country. Prayer is key in turning around the fortunes of Nigeria. So, we should offer a lot of prayers for the country and its leadership. We should not curse the country because it belongs to all of us."

Environment Canada urges Montreal drivers to be prepared for rapidly changing road conditions, as well as poor visibility.

The advisory adds, "Please continue to monitor alerts and forecasts issued by Environment Canada."

Anyone flying out of Montreal-Trudeau International Airport (YUL) in the coming days should plan ahead. Earlier this week, the airport advised travellers to arrive at least three hours early for all flights, regardless of destination. Plan your route to the airport carefully, as road delays are increasingly likely due to the poor weather conditions.

The snow is expected to begin late Monday afternoon and continue overnight into Tuesday morning.

Environment Canada says that, by Tuesday, the storm should taper off, leaving behind a mix of sun and cloud with temperatures steady around -9 C—though it could feel closer to -17 C with the wind chill. Ouch!

Wednesday, Christmas Day, will bring clear skies and sunshine, but the cold isn't going anywhere. Highs will stay at a frosty -11 C, making it a picturesque but freezing holiday. Boxing Day (Thursday) is looking just as bright, with highs again hovering at -11 C, so bundle up if you're heading out to catch post-Christmas deals.

As the week goes on, things are expected to feel a little more manageable. Friday will bring a mix of sun and cloud with a high of -7 C, while Saturday and Sunday will see slightly warmer conditions.

Weekend highs are expected to hit 2 C on Saturday and 4 C on Sunday, though there's a chance of flurries or rain showers to keep you on your toes.

Montreal's chaotic winter weather is never convenient, but this time of year, it can be extra stressful.
