A HUMILIATING wardrobe malfunction has proven why you should never assume your co-workers are too busy to notice what you’re doing.
An employee was left red-faced when four of her male co-workers had something to say about her fashion failure.

She shared her embarrassment on Reddit’s Female Fashion Advice forum, which has over 5 million members.
MAKING A MEAL OF IT
She wrote in response to a post asking people to share their most recent wardrobe malfunction.
“I was at work, and I ate a snack at my desk,” she said, writing under the handle Aero5.
“Unbeknownst to me, a single chocolate chip fell into my lap.
“As I shifted, it squished itself between my thighs, melting EVERYWHERE.”
The wardrobe woe was difficult to disguise because her pants were “white as snow.”
She confessed to desperately trying to change her outfit without anyone in her office noticing.
“It looked like I had dried period blood between my thighs, it was bad,” she said.
“This was the dead of winter, so I threw on my white coat and attempted to pull it down far enough to cover the worst of the stain while I speed-walked to the store down the block.
“Being the dead of winter, there were no white pants to be found.
“I settled for a black pair that were somehow both too big and too small at the same time and walked back to work.
“No less than three or four men from the office commented on my wardrobe change. None of the women, how about that.”
The Redditor was so mortified by the mishap that she didn’t take her white pants home to wash.
“I didn’t even try to save the pants, I threw them in my office trash can in a fit of rage,” she said.
“By the end of the day, I was sick of explaining and summarized that ‘I got in a fight with a granola bar and lost.’
“Curse my love of winter whites!”
BUTT OF THE JOKE
Hundreds of people upvoted the relatable post and among the commenters was one who had a similar experience.
“I did that this summer but I sat on a blueberry in light denim jeans!!” they said.
Tip to remove yellow sweat stains
Yellow armpit stains affects everyone, whether people care to admit to it or not. But there is help at hand. To remove yellow stains from your clothing, experts recommend the following methods:
- Baking soda paste: The pros at The Laundry Cafe recommend mixing one tablespoon of hydrogen peroxide with one tablespoon of salt, and ½ cup of baking soda. Apply directly to the stain with a toothbrush, rub, and let the mixture sit for at least an hour, then wash as normal.
- Oxygen bleach: This method is just as useful for removing yellow stains. Mix one part of oxygen-based bleach with one part of ammonia in a non-metal bowl. Wear gloves during this application. Rub into the fabric with a toothbrush and allow the solution to sit for at least ten minutes before laundering as normal.
- Stain remover or detergent: Stains on collars can be stubborn to remove as armpit stains. So pretreat the area using a solvent-based stain-removing agent or detergent. Work the product into the collar with a toothbrush and allow it to sit for at least ten minutes before washing.
“I feel your pain. Luckily I could hide it pretty well with my work sweater/blanket but it was still mortifying.
“There’s still a stain in my chair to this day.”
Other responses in the Reddit thread came from people who had suffered buttons being unknowingly undone and holes in awkward places on their clothes.
As well as outfits being more sheer than expected, one woman was embarrassed when her skirt got caught in her bag.
“This was a while ago, but I was going home on the train into the city and was wearing a backpack with my stuff, and a skirt/top outfit,” she said.
“Long story short, I didn’t realize my skirt got stuck tucked under the backpack until like 2 city blocks into my walk home…in the most populated part of the city.”
