A man has been arrested after allegedly pointing a gun at a police officer in Box Hill, in Melbourne's east yesterday.
Police officers saw an allegedly stolen black Honda on Station Street about 3:30pm yesterday.
When the Honda came to a stop at a red light at the intersection of Eley Road, a police car pulled up alongside the Honda and an officer stepped out.

Police will allege that the male driver of the Honda picked up a gun and pointed it at the officer.
Nobody was physically injured, and police allege he then fled the scene.
Officers wearing camouflage and carrying riot shields were seen outside a home in Knoxfield about 2:30pm today.
Tactical police entered the house and arrested a 52-year-old man from Heidelberg West.
Police said the man sustained a dog bite during the arrest.
He was taken in an ambulance and a heavy-duty black police vehicle left the scene shortly after.
Victoria Police said he will be interviewed by detectives at a later stage.
No charges have yet been laid.
