“They threw me next to my dad and said ‘where’s the money? where’s the money? where’s the money?'” Bobby told 9News.

Bobby lost consciousness multiple times as he hunched over his dad while the group bludgeoned the trio.

Aleksandar was struck with the machete’s blunt edge.

Bobby said it was only after a terrifying and relentless 15 minutes that the intruders finally gave up, damaging the family car as they stormed out.

The alarm sounded and the group fled with Aleksandar’s phone and Bobby’s ID and bank cards.

Emergency services arrived and Bobby and his aunt were taken to hospital with serious injuries.

Bobby said his aunt had been targeted first.

Police said the attack wasn’t random but the family insists they’ve done nothing to prompt the assault.

The group remain on the run tonight as police urge anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
