A school in Leyland has hosted an exhibition focusing on the life and works of the historical figure Anne Frank.
Wellfield Academy, part of the Endeavour Learning Trust, partnered with Anne Frank Trust UK to deliver a two-day training programme for eighteen students in years seven and eight.
During each class visit, small groups of four to five “expert” students presented to other classmates to guide them through Anne Frank’s story.

A purpose-built mobile exhibition served as the backdrop for peer-to-peer learning across the school’s key stage 3 history lessons.
Jamie Lewis, headteacher of Wellfield Academy, said: “The dedication and poise shown by the students have truly brought history to life. Their ability to communicate such an important story demonstrates the academy’s commitment to nurturing informed, empathetic young people.”
In support of this project, Leyland Primary School, Northbrook Primary Academy, which work closely with Wellfield as a part of the Endeavour Learning Trust, adopted “Anne Frank Class” as their Year 6 name for next year.
