Part of a key South Ribble road will be closed for up to three weeks while gas main replacement work is carried out.
A temporary road closure notice has been issued by Lancashire County Council as a result of the closure, which will be at the junction of Brownedge Road and Todd Lane South.
The actual length of the closure looks to be small with traffic prohibited from entering the area between 156 Brownedge Road – the house closest to the crossroads – and Todd Lane South.
But the placement of the closure means that delays and disruption are expected on Brownedge Road and around the junction at the crossroads in particular while it is in place.
The notice runs from 8am on Monday (14 July) until 5pm on Wednesday, August 6.
Pedestrian access will remain in place while the work is carried out.
Drivers are advised by Lancashire County Council to use London Way, Lostock Lane, Watkin Lane and Brownedge Road as a diversion while the works are ongoing.
