A key road in Penwortham was closed due to a crash.
Police reported that Leyland Road was closed at the junction of New Lane in Penwortham at around 3.45pm on Wednesday afternoon (10 September).
There were delays building in the area as a result, particularly heading towards Lostock Hall.
A spokesperson for police said: “We need to inform you that we are dealing with a road traffic collision and we have had to close Leyland Road up the junction with New Lane in Penwortham.

“Traffic is building up in the area so please find an alternative route if possible and we will update you when the road is clear.”
