A Sydney man has been charged after he allegedly tried to groom a child online.
Police launched an investigation in June this year into the online activities of a 29-year-old man.
Officers created a social media profile purporting to be an adult woman with a young daughter.

Police said detectives spoke with the man who allegedly engaged in a number of sexually explicit conversations involving the child and arranged for a meeting to take place in the Westmead area in the city's west.
The 29-year-old man was arrested in Westmead yesterday.
He was taken to Parramatta Police Station where he was charged with use carriage service-engage in sexual activity with child, use carriage service-solicit child abuse material and use carriage service make available child abuse.
The man was refused bail to appear in Parramatta Bail Court today.
