Two managers at Ribble Court Care Home are set to take on a 10-day trek across Cambodia in support of Lancashire Teaching Hospitals Charity.
Rad Tingle, the kitchen manager at the Much Hoole care home, will continue his fundraising streak with fellow manager Dawn Fawthrop.
The pair are set to start their ten day trek around Cambodia in November with an intent to give back to the charity that has helped support Rad through his Von Hippel-Lindau syndrome diagnosis.

They are set to start their ten day trek around Cambodia in November with an intent to give back to the charity that has helped support Rad through his Von Hippel-Lindau syndrome diagnosis.
His condition, which causes tumours and cysts to grow around his body, was a motivating factor for Rad and Dawn to participate and donate a target of £3500 for the Lancashire Teaching Hospitals renal unit.
Rad said: “Both Dawn and I are beyond excited to take on this challenge, neither of us has ever been to Cambodia and while it will be a challenge, we can’t wait to see the sights on our trek and immerse ourselves in the culture and history, all while raising money for such a life changing cause. I am so thankful to Dawn for joining me on this adventure of a lifetime and all the support she has given me.”
This isn’t the first time Rad has participated in charity fundraisers like this. Rad has embarked on skydives, abseils, and zipline challenges.
His dedication was recognised when he was shortlisted for Charity Fundraiser of the Year at the Best of Lancashire Awards 2023.
