The team at Vault have confirmed it has been kept safe.
A spokesperson said: “When the site was being prepared for our new £11m state of the art Youth Zone, the team carefully stored away the Brick Is Beautiful monument.
“We were recently contacted by a heritage group and we are pleased that they will take this important monument and give it a new home where it can continue to represent Preston’s industrial heritage.
“We respect and embrace Preston rich heritage and this will always be a part of what Vault is and stands for.”

Ashley Warren Preston from the Preserving Preston’s Heritage group confirmed they were working on ensuring the sculpture had a new place to stand.
He said: “We are working with the city’s university to ensure the Brick Is Beautiful can be seen once more.
“Our thanks to the team at Vault for ensuring it has been kept safe and working with us.
“We have uncovered the sculpture was created in the 1980s as part of Helen’s degree show.”
