M&S Returns To Bristol City Centre After Three Years With A Huge New Store – Here’s The Official Opening Date

M&S opened its first stall in Bristol back in 1900 and, later, its huge Broadmead department store in 1952. That’s the same year Elizabeth II became queen, and it’d last almost as long as her reign, only closing in January 2022—it’s since been replaced by the ‘department store with a difference’, Sparks.

But M&S couldn’t be kept away from the city centre for long. Last year, it unveiled plans to replace House of Fraser in Cabot Circus with a three-level location offering  M&S Food, Fashion, Home & Beauty. The 80,000 sq ft full-line store now has an official opening date.

When will M&S open in Cabot Circus?

M&S has revealed the opening date for its brand-new flagship store at Cabot Circus in Bristol city centre as Thursday, November 13. This is one of sixteen M&S stores opening across the UK this financial year, including Bath Southgate, and is expected to create over 100 new local jobs—including visual merchandising, customer service and warehouse operations.

What will it offer?

You can look forward to a fresh market-style foodhall, with an in-store bakery, fresh market specials and a wide range of M&S sandwiches, salads and wraps. A 200-seater M&S Coffee Shop will also deliver freshly cooked breakfast rolls, toasties, wraps and sandwiches, alongside barista-made coffee and iced drinks.

In fashion, customers will find one of M&S’ biggest beauty sections in the UK, with a wide selection of M&S ranges and third-party brands, including Clinique and Estée Lauder. Plus, browse the latest Autumn/Winter Autograph collections, alongside a Kidswear collection.
