Newcastle’s New Adventurelands Launches Heart-Warming Christmas Toy Drive

New Adventurelands in Newcastle is launching a community Christmas Toy Drive to support local families facing the rising cost of the festive season — while inspiring everyone to reuse, share, and spread a little Christmas joy.

The soft play centre will be collecting donations of good-quality pre-loved toys and children’s books in giftable condition. These items will be displayed inside the venue, where visitors can browse freely — taking what they need at no cost, or leaving a small donation to help other families in the community.

“Christmas can be such an expensive time for parents,” said Jamie Gardener, owner of New Adventurelands.

“We wanted to do something simple but meaningful — giving pre-loved toys a second home, helping families save money, and creating a real sense of community.”

The toy drive will run through until Christmas, with donations accepted during the centre’s normal opening hours. The team is asking for good, clean toys and books only — no bric-a-brac or items unsuitable for children.

“We’re also inviting everyone to pop in, have a look, and take whatever toys or books might make their children smile,” added Jamie.

“It’s a lovely way to help each other out this Christmas.”
