Bamber Bridge in Bloom are holding a community screening of a film for The National Emergency Briefing on Saturday, 15 August.
The event will take place at Carr Street Community Centre at will begin at 7pm.
Maya Ellis MP, as well as the wider community, are invited to attend.
The National Emergency Briefing is a public information initiative aimed at briefing both Parliament and the public on the climate and nature crisis in an honest and clear way.
Naturalist and television presenter, Chris Packham, said: “I’d encourage people everywhere to attend a screening of The People’s Emergency Briefing.
“It creates exactly the kind of honest local conversation we now urgently need, both about what these changes mean where we live, and about what we can do together to address them.”
This initiative has received backing from numerous organisations such as WWF, the National Trust, CPRE and the Royal Meteorological Society.
Screenings are expected to take place in hundreds of locations across the UK.
South Ribble councillor, David Bollenberg, said: “As a South Ribble councillor representing Bamber Bridge, I’m very grateful to Bamber Bridge in Bloom for offering a chance to the people of Bamber Bridge and beyond to come together and discuss what we can all do to improve the world and our community for future generations of Briggers.”
