Chew’s Yard is getting into the Christmas spirit with a line-up of DJs, live bands, acoustic acts, choirs and a market over the festive period.
Frank Whiteley, Operations Manager at the food and drink hall and events space in Market Street West, said: “We have pulled out all the stops, packing every weekend with free or low cost events to help the people of Lancashire celebrate the festivities.”
The events programme includes live music from Saraban and The Cathedrals. DJ Jason Marx at the Festive Funk Foundation will be spinning funk, soul, disco and hip hop, and there will be an Open Jam night for musicians, vocalists, choirs, and a brass band.

On Thursday 18 December at 7pm, the venue will host a Christmas Singalong led by Chrissie from Sing Preston, raising money for The Foxton Centre.

On New Year’s Eve, Chew’s Yard welcomes mainstay of the Northern scene DJ Chris Hunter, who will be spinning diva-led disco and uplifting soulful house at the NYE Disco Underground night.
“You might recognise Chris’ name from residences at Feel and Cheeky Monkey,” said Frank. “Some of our Christmas events have already sold out so we recommend that you purchase your tickets in advance, either by contacting Chew’s Yard directly or booking via Skiddle.”
The food and drinks hall features five food and drinks traders, who have already launched their special Christmas menus.
The venue welcomes children with their families and is dog friendly. Trinity Square Car Park is opposite the venue, with free parking available at various times throughout the festive season.
