Clitheroe Young Farmers Tractor Run which took place on Sunday evening was a huge success for Clitheroe Young Farmers.

This year’s event saw over 150 tractors tour across the Ribble Valley, all decorated with festive fairy lights and creative Christmas displays.

Thousands of spectators lined the streets to enjoy the spectacle, as the convoy made its way through Chatburn, West Bradford, Waddington, Clitheroe town centre, Barrow, Whalley and Sabden, before travelling over the iconic Nick of Pendle.

The tractors created an unforgettable atmosphere, featuring musical air horns, a Santa sleigh, and even smoke and snow machines, bringing festive cheer to communities across the route.

The event also highlighted the strength, pride and unity of British agriculture, with farmers coming together to support both rural youth and charitable causes.

Tom Carlisle (The Dalesfarmer) judged the Best Decorated Tractor competition, with prizes awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place.

As well as spreading Christmas spirit, the tractor run is a major fundraising event.

Proceeds are being raised for Clitheroe Young Farmers Club, a youth charity supporting young people 10-28 in rural areas, and the British Heart Foundation, a cause close to the hearts of many of our members.

So far, the event has raised just over £8,000, with organisers hopeful of beating last year’s £10,000 total.

Donations are still open and can be made via Just Giving.

Clitheroe Young Farmers would like to thank everyone who attended, supported, donated, and helped make this year’s Christmas Tractor Run such a memorable success.
