Ramaphosa has been addressing the crowds at the official Reconciliation Day commemoration at the Ncome Museum in the uMzinyathi District in KwaZulu-Natal.
“Commemorating the 16th of December provides us with an opportunity to confront our past with honesty, to acknowledge the complexity of our shared history, and to commit ourselves to building a peaceful future together. It is quite significant that, today, we have representatives of the Afrikaner national group – our nation is South Africa; we are the South African nation.”
