Four staff members have successfully completed a 34-mile ultramarathon and raised £3,000 for St Catherine’s Hospice.

The staff members, Craig Hummer, James Da Costa, Matthew Kilane, and Alison Evans, laced up their running shoes to raise money for the Lostock Hall charity.

Running to and from each St Catherine’s charity shop from Adlington to Longridge, people gathered outside the shops to cheer the team on.

James Da Costa said: “The support we received from the local community was incredible. Every cheer kept us going during what was a really tough challenge, both mentally and physically.

“It reminded us just how much the community values St Catherine’s, and we’re proud to have played a small part in helping the charity continue its vital work.”

“We’d like to give a huge thanks to all the shop managers, volunteers, and our trading team who drove the support van, along with a shout out to our corporate sponsors, Ezra Safety group, 828 Law, Deighan Funeral Parlour, and The Cloud Gateway team.”
