The United Nations Security Council’s members will on Monday debate the United States of America’s invasion of Venezuela.
This led to the capture of the President of Venezuela, Nicolas Maduro.
The meeting of the United Nations Security Council coincides with the appearance of Nicolas Maduro in a Federal Court in New York.
The debate will focus on US military action against Venezuela.
Many countries have condemned the attack and some raised concerns that the invasion of Venezuela is in violation of the UN charter articles one and two.
The charter calls for respect for the territorial integrity of member states and it also respects the sovereignty and independence of member countries.
UN Chief Antonio Guterres has also raised concerns and has called for de-escalation.
