Scotswood Showbar is delighted to host a special fundraising event in support of LGBT+ History Month, raising both awareness and essential funds for leading LGBTQ+ charity Stonewall.
The evening will be headlined by BAFTA-nominated presenter, award-winning trans advocate, and television personality Ella Morgan, promising a night of celebration, visibility, and community solidarity.
Stonewall is a UK-based human rights charity that campaigns for the equality of lesbian, gay, bi, trans, queer and questioning people, working to create a world where everyone is free to be themselves.
Tickets are priced at £10 and include an exclusive meet-and-greet with Ella Morgan, as well as a professional digital photograph. A raffle will also take place on the night, featuring a range of fantastic hamper prizes, with all proceeds supporting Stonewall’s work.
The evening will be hosted by Ella Morgan and feature cabaret performances from Ben Lloyd (Mr Gay Great Britain 2025), Ophelia Balls, Raunchy Rusty, Miss Lucy, Monarchy, Gucci Gabore and Bonnie Lad — promising a vibrant night of entertainment and community spirit.
The fundraiser forms part of LGBT+ History Month, a time dedicated to recognising the history, achievements and ongoing contributions of LGBTQ+ people, while continuing to raise awareness of equality and inclusion.
Liam Glendinning, owner of Scotswood Showbar, said:
“We are proud to be raising both awareness and funds during LGBT+ History Month. Creating an inclusive, welcoming environment is at the heart of everything we do, and this event is about celebrating our community while supporting the vital work Stonewall carries out every day.”

Not a bad consolation prize, if you ask us!

Plus, seven Maxmillions prizes were scooped up during Friday's draw, two of which were from tickets purchased in Quebec. And if that wasn't enough, over 1.5 million other prizes were handed out — ranging from free plays to cash in the thousands. So, if you haven't checked last week's ticket yet, now's the perfect time to see if you're a winner!

How does Lotto Max work?

Lotto Max is Canada's biggest lottery game, with draws happening every Tuesday and Friday.

For every $5 ticket, you get three sets of seven numbers ranging from 1 to 50.

Here's how it works: During each draw, seven main numbers and one bonus number are randomly picked. To win a prize, you need to match at least three numbers. Matching more numbers and/or the bonus can boost your winnings.

Prizes are divided into categories, and payouts depend on ticket sales. Here's a typical prize breakdown:

7/7 (jackpot) — average of $47.5 million (but an estimate of that draw's jackpot is shown when you buy your ticket)

6/7 plus bonus — average of $194,405

6/7 — average of $4,629

5/7 plus bonus — average of $926

5/7 — average of $105

4/7 plus bonus — average of $50

4/7 — $20 fixed prize

3/7 plus bonus — $20 fixed prize

3/7 — free play

The jackpot starts at $10 million and can climb to a massive $80 million if it isn’t won. Once the jackpot hits $50 million, additional Maxmillions prizes — $1 million each — are added. These are separate draws, and to win one, you need to match all seven numbers on a single line.

Every set of numbers on your ticket is eligible for both the main draw and any Maxmillions draws, giving you more chances to win. Sales close at 10:30 p.m. ET on draw nights.

The odds of winning the jackpot are around 1 in 33 million, but your chances of taking home any prize are about 1 in 7.

Good luck, Montreal!

If you or someone you know is struggling with problem gambling, refer to these resources available across Quebec.
