St. Patrick’s Weekend Fleadh Cheoil

Once again, there’s no St Patrick’s Day Parade in Bristol in 2026—with organisers opting for a St. Patrick’s Weekend Fleadh Cheoil instead. That won’t dampen the celebrations of Irish culture and heritage, however, as the Trinity Centre is transformed for a full-day celebration of music, dance, workshops, and community across multiple spaces in one venue.
Candlelight: Ed Sheeran Meets Coldplay

Uniting Coldplay and Ed Sheeran fans together, Candlelight concerts transform the heartwarming hits into a live, multi-sensory musical experience at Bristol Cathedral. Under the gentle glow of candlelight, Candlelight: Ed Sheeran Meets Coldplay welcomes a string quartet performing songs like ‘Bad Habits’, ‘Fix You’, ‘Viva la Vida’ and ‘Give Me Love’.

This is your reminder that this Sunday is Mother’s Day! You could go anywhere. Do anything. Just remember to hang out with your mum. But our tip for spoiling her is with afternoon tea. Tuck into towers of sandwiches, intricate patisseries, and hand-made scones, alongside a selection of artisan tea, that’s a feast for the eyes, soul and mouth.
The Greatest Showman

Unless you’ve got tickets already, you may struggle to catch the world premiere of ‘The Greatest Showman’ in Bristol this weekend. But we still expect mega-fans to be out in droves. Based on the 2017 smash-hit film, which tells the heavily fictionalised life story of P. T. Barnum, the new musical will debut at the Bristol Hippodrome, starring Oliver Tompsett in the lead role.
A Midsummer Night’s Dream
You think you know ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’? Not like this you do! In a tyrannical society, four young lovers flee to the forest where a fierce battle rages between the Fairy King and Queen, Oberon and Titania, over a stolen child. Following 2022’sco-production of ‘Henry V’, Shakespeare’s Globe collaborates once again with the touring theatre company Headlong for a unique spin on one of Shakespeare’s most-loved plays.
