Rail passengers heading to Scotland from Preston are being warned of major disruption.
Avanti West Coast has issued a travel alert due to a major fire at a building close to Glasgow Central.
The station is being closed through until the end of Monday (9 March) due to the fire.

The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service has a major operation underway to try and control the fire at a four-storey commercial building in Union Street, Glasgow.
A spokesperson said as of 8.30pm on Sunday (8 March): “At its height, 15 fire appliances and specialist resources including three high-reach vehicles and a water rescue team were mobilised to the area.
“We were first alerted at 3.46pm on Sunday, 8 March, to reports of a fire affecting the ground floor of a four-storey commercial building.
“There are no reported casualties, and crews remain at the scene.”
Avanti West Coast says passengers should not travel to or from Glasgow Central.

You can use your ticket on the following train companies at no extra cost:
- LNER services between Edinburgh and London Kings Cross
- ScotRail between Glasgow Central / Glasgow Queen Street and Edinburgh (please note ScotRail are also impacted by this disruption)
- TransPennine Express services from Edinburgh to Preston
Avanti West Coast tickets dated for travel today on the Anglo-Scot route will be valid tomorrow, Monday 9 March. This is at no extra cost and you will not need to amend your ticket.
If your train is cancelled, your ticket is valid on one of the two Avanti West Coast services immediately before your booked train, or one of the two immediately after.
If you no longer wish to travel because your train is delayed or cancelled, you can request a full refund from where you bought your ticket.
