A house and disco celebration built for dancers is coming to Preston.
Demented Disco will take over Chew’s Yard on Easter Sunday (5 April). Running from 8pm until late, the night will combine heavyweight selectors with live vocals and percussion for a high energy, full spectrum dance floor experience.
Heading the lineup is DJ Sam Flanagan, the highly regarded Blackburn based multi-genre selector known for seamlessly blending soul, funk, disco, hip hop, house and indie. Hailed by The Guardian as Lancashire’s answer to 2ManyDJs and praised by DJ Yoda as the hot UK mixtape name, Sam has supported artists including Chic, Sophie Ellis Bextor, Jazzy Jeff and Soul II Soul, and remains a key resident within the Demented Disco family.
Founder members El Grego and DJ Larry Sosa will bring their signature mix of disco edits and classic to modern house selections. El Grego’s style has drawn comparisons to Purple Disco Machine, with festival appearances and support slots alongside names such as Greg Wilson and Lenny Fontana. Larry Sosa has shared line ups with respected artists including Victor Simonelli and Ralphie Dee, while helping shape the wider Demented Disco movement.

Larry Sosa said: “Ever since our first visit to Chew’s Yard we knew it was perfect for one of our parties. We have loved playing in Preston in the past and the city always has the best dancers. We can’t wait to break out the disco nonsense this Easter.”
Jake Cairns and Sadie Ashton – both known for their crowd-focused approach and rising reputations on the UK circuit – will add feel good house and disco selections spanning classic vocal anthems and 90s energy.
Live elements will come courtesy of vocalist Miranda Myles, lead singer of Pretty Shivers and a solo artist with over five million streams, whose soulful delivery brings disco classics and modern favourites to life, alongside Manchester percussionist WMD, whose tight, high energy rhythms add raw impact to the dance floor.
Tickets are available from Skiddle.
