Two years ago, the Invisible Circus lost its long-time creative home, Unit 15, when the space was taken from them by developers. But instead of throwing the towel, the boundary-pushing circus troupe seems to be stronger than ever. For its 30th anniversary, it’s putting on two immersive nights at this historic Bristol mansion.
The lavish 30th Anniversary Ball will welcome audiences to roam through a living carnival of performance—with acrobats and aerialists soaring through grand halls, cabaret acts appearing in hidden corners, and musicians and sideshow performers completing a vibrant labyrinth-like playground of the city’s most daring performers.

Two dazzling nights of circus, theatre, music and cabaret will take place at Ashton Court Mansion on April 10 and 11, 2026, which also celebrates a 20-year partnership with Artspace Lifespace—the Bristol organisation dedicated to rescuing neglected buildings and transforming them into spaces for creativity and community.
As custodians of Ashton Court Mansion, Artspace Lifespace aims to demonstrate how historic buildings can thrive as community-led cultural hubs. But as their tenure draws to a close, this spectacular finale will fill the mansion with all-singing, all-dancing wonders one last time.

But this isn’t a farewell. It’s more of a door to a new chapter. The 30th Anniversary Ball is the start of a new campaign to safeguard Bristol’s creative spirit, laying the foundations for future productions, including the ambitious Prospect show, and wider fundraising efforts to secure long-term homes for artists and their communities.
