The St Patrick’s Day parade was once a cornerstone of Bristol’s Irish culture celebrations, but for the second year in a row, the volunteer-run event, organised by W.E. Irish, won’t be happening. But that doesn’t mean there will be no party to enjoy, as a Fleadh Cheoil (pronounced “FLAH-kyoh-uhl”) takes place on Sunday, March 15.
Essentially an Irish music festival, W.E. Irish St. Patrick’s Fleadh Cheoil 2026, is transforming Trinity Centre with music, dance, workshops, and community across multiple spaces under one roof—honouring the Irish diaspora’s contributions to the region with three distinct stages.
What is happening at St. Patrick’s Fleadh Cheoil?

You might be dancing at a céilí one second and learning to play Irish music yourself the next, with a full day of live music, dance, and participatory sessions across three spaces. On the PMG Stage, enjoy traditional Irish music and high-energy dance, from New Hibernia, Stuart Dance, The Ceili Collective, as well as a headline set from Poor Ole Dogs.
Elsewhere, FYFE Hall hosts shorter performances and sessions, including O’Malley Dance School, Beaufort Sessions, and a second chance to see Stuart Dance in an intimate setting. In the Graffiti Room, visitors can join interactive workshops and participatory music sessions with Sean Spicer, Hibernia & Beaufort, and Stuart Dance, providing hands-on opportunities with Irish music and dance.
How do I get tickets?
Technically, the St. Patrick’s Day Fleadh Cheoil is already sold out, but there will be one last chance to grab a ticket this weekend—with an adult ticket £14, and a child ticket £6. The ticket re-release will be from Saturday, March 14, at 10am, on a first come first served, here.
