A four-year-old boy has made a positive impact on his local community by collecting large amounts of litter during his daily walks.
Preston-born Henry regularly picks up rubbish that has been dropped in public areas, something he began doing entirely on his own initiative.
His dad, Jonny, explained how Henry’s mission first began and said: “There are lots of older kids who go and the place was covered in litter.

“So the other day (2 May) we headed out on our walk and he went in the kitchen and came out with a bin bag randomly.
“I said what’s that for and he said he was going to clear all the litter. One bin bag didn’t cover it and it escalated and it has now become a part of all our walks now and he even has his own litter picker.”

Since then, Henry has expanded his efforts into other areas and, according to his family, has developed “a strong interest” in keeping the environment clean.
With Henry only starting school in September, his dad said seeing him take action at such a young age, has made him proud.
Jonny added: “At just four years old it makes me very proud that he has done this off his own accord.”
