Nicole Hanson, a proud local from Darlington, is making waves across the North East after winning the prestigious Top Influencer Award in the pageant category at the iconic Assembly Rooms on 3rd May.
Nicole’s journey began just two years ago, when she started sharing her passion for cars on Instagram. What began as a hobby quickly evolved into a platform that blends automotive enthusiasm with fashion and modelling. Inspired by her growing confidence and love for the spotlight, she entered the world of pageantry and, in January, was crowned Miss Durham 2026 as part of the Miss Great Britain competition.

Since earning her title, Nicole has wasted no time making an impact. She has completed a 10K run in support of JPC Community Hub, raising an impressive £530 for the cause, launched a government petition to raise awareness for hypermobility, and now adds a major influencer award to her growing list of achievements.
At the heart of Nicole’s platform is a clear and powerful message: women belong in the automotive world too. As the admin of Abarth Club North East, she proudly showcases her modified Abarth 595, combining style and substance to challenge stereotypes. Her passion has even taken her onto the track, with her first experience at Blyton Park in November marking a major milestone.

Nicole’s nomination came from Eagles Chauffering Limited, a local executive travel company that recognised her influence and dedication to empowering others.
Looking ahead, Nicole is focused on the next chapter of her journey as she prepares to compete in the Miss Great Britain final this October. Representing the North East on a national stage, she hopes to continue inspiring women to break boundaries, embrace their passions, and confidently take up space—whether that’s on the runway or the racetrack.
