A group of colleagues are to take on three peaks in the Lake District to raise money for a local homelessness charity.

Fundraisers from homebuilding firm, Rowland Homes, will climb Helvellyn, Scafell Pike and Skiddaw.

The event will take place on 19 June, and the group of 25 will cover 900 meters of elevation gain.

Rowland Homes, who are based in Leyland, said Emmaus Lancashire is a ‘meaningful’ charity.

The test of endurance is in support of Emmaus Lancashire, which supports people who have experienced homelessness.

Stephen Buchanan, Chief Executive Officer of Emmaus Lancashire, said: “We are incredibly grateful to Rowland Homes for pledging their support to homelessness charity Emmaus Lancashire.

“It’s heart-warming to see a home builder committed to helping people who have experienced homelessness progress to homes of their own.

“Through Emmaus’ residential accommodation and tailored support, people are helped in Lancashire every day to live more fulfilled lives. Thank you to Rowland Homes and everyone for donating – and being part of this difference.”
