Police say a prominent media personality who was due to appear in the Germiston Magistrate’s Court east of Johannesburg on Monday morning will now appear on Wednesday.
The suspect was arrested in Edenvale on Sunday morning, after allegedly forcing an e-hailing driver into his vehicle and preventing him from leaving.
It is alleged that the e-hailing driver had transported a female passenger to a residence in Edenvale.
The suspect then confronted him and accused him of being involved in a romantic relationship with his girlfriend.
The e-hailing driver managed to escape unharmed and reported the incident to a nearby police station.
