Preston is set to see the hottest day of the year so far on Thursday.
Temperatures are predicated to soar to 33 degrees during Thursday (25 June).
The city has basked in wall-to-wall sunshine this weekend, helping many festivals and events taking place, and it looks set fair to continue.

A Met Office amber warning of extreme heat has been issued but it doesn’t stretch as far into Lancashire as Preston although it does cover parts of Chorley and West Lancashire.
Preston will see daytime temperatures of more than 30 degrees from Tuesday (23 June) through to the end of Thursday.
Met Office deputy chief forecaster Tom Crabtree, said in a UK-wide forecast: “The forecast heatwave is developing into an impactful severe weather event, with record breaking June temperatures and very high humidity. The combination of heat and humidity will be oppressive and bring impacts across society from public health and infrastructure, to power and water supplies.
“As well as very high daytime temperatures, there will be consecutive nights where temperatures do not drop below 20°C, which is called a Tropical Night. This will make it very hard for people to recover from the daytime heat, exacerbating the heat stress impacts.”
The UK Health Security Agency has an amber level heat health alert in place for the North West of England. It runs from 11am on Monday (22 June) to 11pm on Friday (26 June).
