M65 fully re-opens after five car crash causes morning rush hour delays

A five-car crash caused major delays on the M65 between Preston and Blackburn on Wednesday morning.

Emergency services were called to the motorway between Junction 3 (Brindle/Hoghton) and Junction 4 (Darwen) at 8.11am.

It caused major rush hour delays as the carriageway was closed off.

Lancashire Police said five vehicles were involved in the crash. All drivers and passengers had minor injuries.
