Preston Bus are making timetable changes to five routes across the city from the end of August.
As well as the extended number 6 bus coming in running from Penwortham to Longridge, there’s updated timetables to the 8, 16, 19, 23 and 35 services.
Passengers are being urged to check new timetables released from Monday 17 August ahead of the changes coming in from Monday 31 August.

The 8 between Moor Nook and Preston will see additional evening and Sunday journeys with a bus on weekdays every 15 minutes until 7.45pm and every 30 minutes until 10.45pm.
At weekends the early evening service goes every 30 minutes from 5.45pm to 10.45pm and on Sundays the daytime service goes every 20 minutes and later journeys come in at 7.15pm and 8.15pm.
The 16 between Farringdon Park and Preston gets an additional 10.10pm journey from Monday to Saturday.
In the west of the city and the 19 service which goes from Royal Preston Hospital, to Preston, the Portway park and ride and then Larches it will have more frequent services around the Larches estate – as Preston Bus say they’ve had feedback from passengers.
Buses will go to every 10 minutes during weekday daytimes, every 15 minutes during Saturday daytimes and every 30 minutes during weekends and Sundays.
On weekdays an additional journey will go from Royal Preston Hospital every 10 minutes between 4.15pm and 6.25pm. A new early morning service leaves Larches at 5.05am, getting to the Bus Station at 5.30am and the hospital at 5.50am.
The 19A service will no longer operate and instead the 31 will provide a link from Lea towards the city centre.
In Fulwood, the 23 service which was extended to Bamber Bridge in recent months, is going to see additional weekday morning journeys.
A 6.58am bus will leave Fulwood Asda getting into Preston at 7.27am on weekdays.
The existing 7.32am service from Royal Preston Hospital to the Bus Station will be extended to start from Fulwood Asda at 7.27am and there will be more frequent buses from Fulwood Asda during the evening peak times.
On Saturdays buses will go to every 10 minutes from Asda during the late afternoon up until 5.05pm.
The 35 service from Tanterton to Preston sees new early-morning journeys with a 5.29am and 6.09am service which get into Preston at 5.48am and 6.28am respectively. An additional journey will also leave Preston at 5.53am.
During the early evening buses from Preston will run every 15 minutes until 7.30pm.
Preston Bus has also confirmed the football special 288 service from Ashton Lane Ends to Deepdale is staying in operation. It will start for the first home game against Wolves on Saturday 22 August.
The 19S, 31, 43, 44, 48, 114, 311,
312, 319, 347, and school and college services all see no timetable changes.
