Australia will start their reply to South Africa’s first innings on day two of the third and deciding test match at Newlands in Cape Town, buoyed by their tremendous fightback on day one.
The Proteas, who were put into bat, raced to 140 without loss at lunch before Mitchell Starc claimed six wickets for 72 runs to bowl the hosts out for 329.
Four South African batters scored half centuries, with Marques Ackerman’s 95 the top score.
However, a number of South African batters will regret their shot selection that led to their demise.
