Late contender for takedown of the week comes this exchange from ScotRail over on Twitter after the train company shared a post to mark Trans Day of Remembrance, which each year honours those lost to transphobic violence.
On #TransDayOfRemembrance, we’re reaffirming our commitment to ensuring that Scotland’s Railway is for everyone. Whether you’re a passenger or a member of staff, you can be assured that we will not tolerate intolerance.

This being Twitter, of course, not everyone was pleased and naturally took the opportunity to share their feelings with everyone else.
And we’re glad they did because ScotRail’s response was first class.
And it didn’t terminate there.
Wasting time, effort, and money on performative activism directs resources away from the job at hand. Suppose just getting on with the day job won’t win you any pointless diversity awards though.

Social media is my job. I get paid the same regardless of what I tweet. Feel free to apply for a vacancy with us if you think you can do better. ^Angus

Aw come on. You job is to run our trains not virtue signal.
Why not do it properly and provide a list of all the trans people who have been murdered in Scotland. I’ll wait.— Liesl (@Liesl_lseil) November 20, 2021
I’d sincerely hope that it wouldn’t take a murder for someone to show their support for the transgender community in Scotland. ^Angus

Thanks for the support!
Sorry to see the anti gender cranks have piled on for you supporting #TDOR and being inclusive.

It’s a very odd way to respond to a message of support for a maginalised community to say the least. ^Angus

It’s clear @Scotrail needs more Anguses. We all do.

Once you meet him in real life you’ll realise one Angus is more than enough! Just joking. He really is a great guy. It’s a pleasure to work with him. ^Megan

It’s not the first time ScotRail has excelled at this sort of thing.
You might remember when they did this …
Seen our #PrideOfScotRail train yet? Don’t worry if not, it’ll be wearing this design until it needs repainted in 2029!
— ScotRail (@ScotRail) June 25, 2021
… and a bigoted troll responded by asking when the train company would be ‘painting one in straight colours … Or will we be discriminated against?’
And this is how they replied.
Straight people aren’t punched in the face for holding hands with their life partner, nor are the executed in other countries simply for being straight. Please educate yourself on the matter before commenting such nonsense. ^Ste

To conclude …
To save any more of you asking, our support for transgender people has no impact on trains running on time. But thank you for your concern.
Scotland’s Railway is for everyone, and it always will be. #TransDayOfRemembrance
