Brazilian mixed martial artist, Alex Pereira, has insisted that he has unfinished business with Nigerian-Austrialian MMA star Israel Adesanya.
Last weekend, Alex Pereira made his light heavyweight debut at UFC 291 against Polish MMA star Jan Błachowicz.
After winning the fight via split decision, the Brazilian fighter had to remind the world of his beef with the Nigerian fighter.
After facing Israel Adesanya twice in the past, the Brazilian fighter insisted that he is open to fighting him for the third time.
Even though Pereira had moved up the ranks, he believes that he and the Nigerian who have recorded one win against each other have to face each other one more time to settle the scores.
Recall that the last time Adesanya and Pereira met in April, the Nigerian fighter knocked out the Brazilian fighter.
After his bout on Saturday, Pereira spoke about his aspirations to one day become the undisputed light heavyweight champion, despite highlighting some unresolved “business.”
He said, “Right now, I’m focused on this division. I want to be the champion of this division, then I have some work to do.
“I moved up to light heavyweight, did one more fight, took some time off from all those cuts, and then (returned to middleweight). (Adesanya and I) are 1-1 in the middle? Nothing is fairer than doing the middleweight trilogy.”
