Police are treating the death of a man near Preston city centre as ‘unexplained’.

North West Ambulance Service called Preston Police to an address in Gerrard Street, off Bow Lane, at 2.47pm on Thursday 4 July.

A man in his 40s was found dead, with police describing it as a ‘sudden death’.

A police spokesperson told Blog Preston: “Our officers attended and very sadly the body of a man in his 40s was found. He was pronounced deceased at the scene.

“The death is being treated as unexplained and an investigation is ongoing.”
