Bureaucracy Slowing Down My Agenda - President Tinubu Laments

A Northern group, Civil Society For Credible Election has stated that erstwhile president, Muhammadu Buhari should be blamed for the economic crisis plaguing the nation.

The group lamented that President Bola Tinubu inherited the challenges from his predecessor.

They shared their reservations while addressing newsmen in Kano.

Umar argued that Tinubu had since hit the ground working to reverse the situation through various steps and policies put in place.

He subsequently called on Nigerians to exercise patience with the President as things will be better in no distant time in the country.

According to him, “We recognize the fact that Nigerians are passing through hardship at the moment. It is a result of a global economic meltdown, but only further compounded by some shortcomings of the last administration under former president Muhammadu Buhari.

“What people need to know about Nigeria’s present challenges is that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu inherited them from the past administration of former president Buhari but as a determined leader, Tinubu is pulling all strings together to overcome them head-on.

“Nigerians are all living witness to the phantom steps and policies of the present administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to address the country’s sociocultural, economic and political indices.

“What President Tinubu need from all Nigerians now is patience, cooperation and understanding of the administration reforms policies. These reforms are strategic and competent enough to in no distant time make all Nigerians proud of their beloved country.”

Economic Hardship: Ex-Niger Delta Warlords Send Message To Federal Government

Some former Niger Delta warlords have held a stakeholders meeting on how to combat the current economic crisis in the economy, particularly in the Niger Delta region.

The meeting was held at the residence of Senior High Chief Bibopere Ajube, at Agadagba-Obon, Arogbo, in Ese-Odo Local Government Area (LGA) of Ondo State.

Addressing newsmen after the closed-door meeting, Ebikabowei, alias Gen. Boyloaf, revealed that the major discussion was basically on how to ameliorate the economic hardship on the people of the region.

Boyloaf blamed politicians for sabotaging the economy, adding that the nation should not be suffering considering the mineral resources at its disposal.

Speaking further, the former militant called on the President Bola Tinubu led Federal Government to work on how to increase the Gross Domestic Production (GDP) of the nation in all its exports.

He said, “We are gathered here today because of the economic situation of the country and the way forward. The issue of our economy is important to us.

“There’s need for the Federal Government to work on how to increase our Gross Domestic Production (GDP).

“We have put heads together to ensure that things go on smoothly. We are concerned, most importantly, about the Niger Delta region following the increase in oil output, irrespective of politicians’ moves to sabotage the economy.

“As you know that this region produces what feeds this country, we must make sure the nation gets it right by fixing the economy quickly before it gets out of hands.

“It’s clear that there is no way we can survive without an increase in our productions so that our exports will outshoot our imports.

“We want the Federal Government to share everything to states so that they will bear the responsibilities of whatever happens in their states.”

Akeredolu’s Wife Speaks On Marriage With Late Ondo Governor

Akeredolu’s Wife Advises Female Politicians Amid Husband’s Ill Health

Betty Akeredolu, the widow of the late former Governor of Ondo State, Rotimi Akeredolu, has shared the secret behind the longevity of their marriage, spanning over four decades.

In a heartfelt tribute to her husband, the former First Lady of Ondo revealed that effective communication played a pivotal role in sustaining their union despite their differences, particularly in matters of faith.

Betty Akeredolu highlighted that while her late husband was deeply religious, often wearing his faith as a badge of honor, she herself did not share the same religious fervor.

This divergence in their spiritual beliefs could have been a source of contention, yet, according to her, it was their ability to communicate effectively that bridged the gap and allowed their relationship to flourish.

The former First Lady openly acknowledged that her stance on religion was a point of frustration for her husband.

However, she expressed no regrets, emphasizing that through open dialogue and mutual understanding, they were able to navigate their differences successfully.

She said, “You came to terms with my position on religion and respected my choice of pragmatism. And a peaceful home we built by respecting each other’s idiosyncrasies, supporting each other’s career pathways, and loving each other at the same time. That you were courageous and fearless is now like a radio jingle on the lips of all and sundry.

“As a partner, you were kind and playful but annoying sometimes with your jokes which became- normal over the years given that trying to change you from cracking expensive jokes was an exercise in futility.

“During our early years of marriage when we started from scratch, you made sure we didn’t lack. You took care of me and the children. With time, you became the best husband, dad, and grandpa, a wife, child or grandchild would wish for.

“We were soul mates. If there is anything like another life, I will marry you.”
