Homicide detectives have been called in to join the investigation into the disappearance of Queensland girl Pheobe Bishop, but police say they are not giving up hope she will be found alive.
Pheobe was last seen more than a week ago on Thursday, May 15, by her housemates, who say they dropped her off outside the Bundaberg Regional Airport at 8.30am.
She had a ticket to fly to Western Australia, via Brisbane, to visit her boyfriend, but she never entered the terminal or checked in for her flight.

There has been no confirmed sighting of Pheobe or her luggage since then.
Detective Acting Inspector Ryan Thompson this afternoon said police had widened the search area to include Good Night Scrub National Park and the rural area west of Gin Gin.
He said police were hoping to find "any evidence or any information that might assist police", with police divers searching the nearby creek and waterways.
When asked if police believed Pheobe was still alive, he said, "we never give up hope, we certainly hope so and I am sure her family are hoping so as well.".
Thompson said police were "keeping all options open" when asked if the case had become a homicide investigation.
There have been no arrests and Thompson said police had no specific persons of interest.

He said police had previously spoken with Pheobe's roommates, who were the last to see her.
Their house in Gin Gin remains an active crime scene, as does the car used to take her to the airport, a grey Hyundai ix35 with Queensland registration 414EW3.
It is not clear if Pheobe was seen on CCTV outside the airport.
Thompson said "versions that have been provided to police" had led investigators to consider Airport Drive as Pheobe's last known location.
Thompson would not reveal where or when Pheobe's phone was last used but said that was also part of the investigation.

Thompson said Pheobe's family were "overwhelmed" and that police were keeping them up to date with developments.
Pheobe's boyfriend told 9News yesterday that he was devastated and couldn't believe the situation was real but was holding up okay.
Phoebe's mum, Kylie Johnson, said the family's "heartache and pain is raw and real".
"We as a family are trying to hang onto the light of life that is our Free Spirited Gypsy Soul Phee Phee," she posted on Facebook.
"Phee we need you home, we need to hear your sassy voice and feel your hugs."

Family members have handed out more than 400 missing person flyers across Bundaberg and Gin Gin prior to Wednesday and have been searching rivers and bushland.
Pheobe is described as approximately 180 centimetres tall with a pale complexion, long dyed red hair, and hazel eyes.
She was last seen carrying luggage and wearing a green tank top and grey tracksuit pants.
