Fans hoping for no further disruption to this year’s Lytham Festival should be cautiously optimistic, according to the latest forecast from the Met Office.
Friday at Lytham Festival was cancelled due to high winds at the last minute with disappointed fans unable to catch the headline set from Alanis Morissette as a result.
That added to the disappointment of Kings of Leon’s set being cancelled for Wednesday for medical reasons.

But Justin Timberlake, Simple Minds and Texas have sets to play on Saturday and Sunday and while fans should not be thinking too much about shades and sun tan lotion, the weather forecast looks much less severe.
The Met Office has Saturday as mostly dry and overcast, with temperatures reaching a maximum of 19C and the chance of rain only climbing higher than 20% at around 11pm.
There will be rain overnight from Saturday into Sunday which is likely to continue until around 5pm, but there is a 20% chance of rain between 5pm and 11pm – when the music will take place.
Wind speeds are not expected to go higher than 30mph across the two days, and that is at 1pm on Saturday.
As ever, the weather is changeable.
