Traffic was temporarily held on the M6 while emergency services rushed to the scene of a crash.
Emergency services were called to the southbound carriageway of the M6 between junction 31 for Preston and junction 30 for Bamber Bridge before 7pm on Tuesday night (4 November).
All traffic was held on the southbound carriageway but was quickly released.

Traffic England is reported severe delays on the M6 in the immediate aftermath of the closure.
Witnesses reported that a car had gone into the central reservation as a result of the crash and that North West Ambulance Service was called to the scene.
