The village of Goosnargh is preparing to come together once again to celebrate the long-standing tradition of the Goosnargh and Whittingham Whitsuntide Festival.
Taking place this year on Saturday 30 May, the festival has been at the heart of village life for more than 150 years, bringing generations of the community together in a celebration of local heritage and tradition.
Festivities will begin with the traditional parade, departing from The Square, Whittingham, at 1.30pm. The parade will wind through the village to Goosnargh Village Green, where this year’s Festival Queen, Mary Blundell, will be crowned during the official ceremony.
The afternoon of activities will feature market stalls, funfair attractions, live performances, and afternoon teas served in Goosnargh Village Hall.

We look forward to welcoming residents and visitors alike to celebrate with us and help keep this fantastic event thriving for future generations.”
Road closures will be in place between 1pm and 4.45pm to accommodate the parade route and festival activities.
