Pienaar backs Bafana Bafana beating Mexico 2-0

Bafana will have their work cut out for them in Group A, where they are pitted against teams ranked much higher than them.

Mexico is ranked 14th in the world, South Korea 25th and the Czech Republic 39th, while South Africa is ranked 60th.

But those statistics are on paper.

Steven Pienaar, who was part of the Bafana Bafana 2010 World Cup squad, says the current team should not be blinded by the world rankings.

Pienaar says, “I think it’s going to be 2-0 for Bafana Bafana and I think this team is much better than the team we had and Mexico is not as good as the team from 2010.“
